Seems like a perfect way for SRAM to sell more £200+ AXS mechs. If they can ever make them fast enough.

On a road bike, maybe. But in MTB? Nah, not unless we see a return of the mech guard.

The main point of a replaceable hanger is that, while it's a pain to have to replace when it bends, it's a lot better than having to replace or straighten a bent frame.
But maybe with the strength of a modern thru-axle having to replace the derailleur mech is the worst that will happen.
