Returning as a title sponsor or the even is Giro along with SRAM, Zipp, and Maxxis. Then each event will also have a host bike brand.
For this year, round three of the Grinduro will take place at Machynlleth, Wales, which is now known for the countries capital of alternative technology. Canyon takes the stage as the rounds' host bike brand and the event will take place from the 23rd of July before wrapping up on the 25th.
On the 24th, the Welsh Grinduro will leave Machynlleth, make it's way across the River Dyfi before heading up towards the start of the Climachx mountain bike trails and then into Dyfi Forest.
For the uninitiated, the Grinduro consists of a 100km loop through, and beyond, the Dyfi Forest. What makes this event special is that it's made up of a combination of a gravel race and a mountain bike enduro styled race. There will be one loop featuring multiple terrains of which there will be four timed segments.
However, organizers are saying that Grinduro is much more than just a bike race, but more of a celebration of cycling with excellent food, bike-based art, and hand made bikes being exhibited.
Tickets go on sale on the 3rd of January at 18:00 and an entry will set you back £120. For your cash, you'll get entry into the race with camping, breakfast, lunch, dinner along with entertainment from live bands and DJs.
